News: Young & Empowered Women Welcomes Largest Cohort

Young & Empowered Women (Y&E) is proud to welcome thirty-three new members to its incoming cohort. Young & Empowered Women is an Arizona-based nonprofit organization that raises awareness and educates others on women’s rights, empowerment and equity. Y&E provides professional development and networking opportunities to a diverse group of female leaders that are passionate about service, economic advancement and empowering others.

“This incoming cohort of women inspires me and the future of our organization,” said Veronica Aguilar, founder & board chair of Y&E. I look forward to connecting our new members to resources and connections that will support their personal and professional growth. This incoming cohort of women is the largest cohort we have onboarded and they are diverse in industry, background and experiences. They will bring a unique perspective to Y&E and make a positive impact in our community.”

After one year of filing as an official 501c3 nonprofit, Y&E has onboarded 100 members into the organization (65% identify as women of color; 70% as first-generation college students).

“Y&E is a group of strong women who come together to inspire, lead and mentor. As a new member, I’m grateful to be part of such a diverse organization that will allow me to grow professionally and build my network. I look forward to driving the mission and leading by example in the community,”
