Young & Empowered Women members, Board of Directors and community members celebrate their status as an official nonprofit in Scottsdale, Arizona after their inaugural retreat.

Young & Empowered Women (Y&E) is proud to celebrate our status as an official nonprofit organization. We are excited to announce we have been granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and are recognized as a charitable organization by the IRS.

Since our formation in June 2020, Y&E has been empowering its members with the skills, resources and networks needed to develop and enhance their personal and professional trajectory. Today, Y&E celebrates its first full year and its official 501(c)(3) recognition with 50 active members and an executive committee. The organization recently hosted a successful leadership retreat with special keynote speakers presenting on the gender gap, financial planning, and what it takes to lead and become a changemaker.

With our new status, we have also recruited and on-boarded our new Board of Directors: Rachel Frazier Johnson, Monica Trejo, Anna Carolina Ortiz, Laura Capello, Latasha Causey, Elora Diaz.

“I am so honored and proud of the work we have done as an organization to bring together and empower rising leaders,” said Veronica Aguilar, Founder of Young & Empowered Women. “I am thankful for the dedication from our executive committee and Board of Directors for their invaluable contributions to the growth and future of Y&E. We will continue to bring together diverse leaders from various backgrounds, create mentorship opportunities and partner with other value- driven organizations who want to empower women to reach their highest potential. We are looking forward to the future of Young & Empowered Women!”
